Best Replacement Knuckle Couplers for Bachmann 38 Ton Shay

The front and rear knuckle couplers on my 38 ton shay need to be replaced. Has anyone used Bachmann's metal replacement? Is there an equivalent or better Kadee replacement?

funny you should ask I just ordered 907 for the front and 835 for the rear.. From Reindeer Pass last evening. should be here first of the week. Good people

So far the Bachmann knuckles on my Shay are working just fine, well over 5 years old and still going, they couple to LGB knuckles very well.

The bachmann couplers on my shay have both had there centering springs fail. Thus have ordered Kadee's

Does the Kadee 835 connect directly to the rear coupler housing or to the rear gear box?
