Bertram Heyn

Thank you very much for providing that link. So much useful stuff there and I’ve only just had a quick look!

I've had excellent service from Bertram, and I commend him to the forum....

Some fascinating items on the site. I have bought stuff from Bertram in the past too. He has great customer service.

I will add my recommendation. I had a wagon kit from him for Christmas, his levers control my points, his enamel signs direct my trains. I have also bought some detail parts from him. Invaluable products, especially if you model German narrowgauge.

Same here. I have bought a variety of items including signals, point kits, point levers and such. Always great service.

Also same for me. He is a nice man. I met him at Dortmund exhibition model show.

As I don’t speak German (I only just manage English) then sadly I will not be able to use his site, as lovely as it looks.

Jimmy - right at the top of the front page of the site, just above the logo, you'll see a little "DE" - click on that, then select the English option! As if by magic, you'll be able to read it... ;)

I've had quite a bit of stuff from Bertram Heyn over the years, both by mailorder and from the couple of times he visited the Llanfair show with a van-full of his stock. Excellent products, very friendly, a really nice guy and a really silly hat!

Jon.

He would make a killing, at Llanfair, if he had a van full of hats! :)

Never noticed the DE, a lot of websites use a flag to denote/change the language. It works so i will have a good look around when I have time. :) :)

i use for website translation the addon " ImTanslator " or the googletranslator in chrome.

Bertram speaks passable English. Much better than my limited German....

On his Llanfair visits he brought his daughter, whose English was very good indeed, so she could handle the trickier conversations with customers! But yes, Bertram's own grasp of English is good enough for most purposes. I've always had very polite and well-written replies in English to my emails, though I do make a point of sending mine in both English and German (courtesy of Googlie Translate) to give the highest chance of my questions being properly understood.

As everyone else has said, a great company to deal with and loads of useful and fascinating products.

Jon.
