Looking for a nice Beck Helena 0-6-2t Austrian live steam locomotive. Prefer a boxed example but open to what I can find. Will trade my nice Merlin Mayflower for/toward the Beck engine. I run all LGB rolling stock and am trying to get more continental looking steamers to pull them. Thanks Mike the Aspie
 
I am aware how basic they are and do plan to get one eventually. I did see that one on German ebay. A bit out of reach and for now I am not looking any longer. My friend decided he would rather have the RC control Mayflower and I got an unbuilt Billy kit with slo mo that was mine and had swapped him for the Mayflower. So we are both happy.
 
Think you have made the right decision both Beck and Merlin Locomotives whilst still super in their own right are a bit long in the tooth these days and need someone with a lot of experience (for repairs and fettling) to keep them running well.

Dear Artful dodger Kent Garden railways did have a second hand 0-6-2 beck for sale. Contact the shop owner and speak to Andy he might be able to help you with this.
