A few friends visited last Monday for a steam up. The weather held and we had a great afternoon.
Here are a few pics - sorry about the poor quality of some of them but it gives the flavour.

First up was George's elderly Roundhouse Jack with a rake of (I think) scratchbuilt stock

My Katie was waiting in reserve but did not get a run

Laurie's Countess was also waiting for a run

Philip, your railway looks stunning. It's got bundles of character. And lovely pictures too!

I echo the above comments - having seen photos of your line before it's always cool to see new angles and it does blend well in to the garden. You're very lucky :)

Looks great.

Very nice photo's of some lovely live steamers:thumbup:

Philip your track is looking good this year.

I don't know how you manage running all your live steam locos with the track all at ground level, are you immune to back ache? Maybe it is just me with my old leg injuries and glasses!

Not really ground level Steve. Most of it is on a raised bed about 18 inches high - makes all the difference.

As this little gathering went well I I'll throw out a more general invite next time for any forum members that want to attend, maybe you will be able to hack your way across town and run a loco or two.

Oh yes that looks much earier to use.

If you are extending invites for a future run I would like the chance to dust off and run some a live steam loco or two.

I'll sort out a date and let you know Steve

Had a chat with my other half - best day for an open day is Saturday 25th June so I'll post a separate thread to let any who are interested know about it.
