Ideas bigger that wallet or brain !
Hi all experts !
Bought this Spectrum 2.6.6.2 at Warley ( boys and toys ) its very pretty though !
A pal said just plug in the QSI 4103-0 it works out of the box .
Looked at the controls outputs etc it looks great but NO manual volume control,
Its a lot easier when the boss says turn it down also the QSI uses F14/15 for volume my MTS don't like it
Emailed QSI - No response whatever?
It looks like I will have to get a Massoth from GRO please has anyone done it and kept a note of the wiring ?

Hiya David, merry Christmas.
I too have a 2 6 6 2, it's the third I've had.
I fitted all of mine with Lenz Gold Maxi decoders and Hulenbrock sound decoders.

I found it relatively simple to fit both using the wiring diagrams with the loco, if you don't have the wiring diagrams, then reply and I will, send you a copy of mine with some notes.

I have no direct experience of the Titan decoder, but according to the installation instructions it appear to have the same volume adjustment arrangement as the older QSI decoders I've used: a reed switch connection which allows volume adjustment or reset using a magnet. I find this really useful, I've mounted the reed switch somewhere on the inside of the bodyshell and marked it with a tiny red dot on the outside. It works great, no need for drilling and mounting a volume knob.

Did your decoder not come supplied with the reed switch?

I have a wiring diagram so thanks anyway Graham
-- Nick I have not got the titan yet and so did not know about the reed switch - have since read the online manual it does come with a reed switch to use with reset and volume so it looks as though all will be well - thanks for the tips
