Auto Running with 2 Trains

Great Roly
Exactly how did you do it?

Great stuff, was it easy to set up?
Kev

That's clever. Is there any chance of it going wrong? For a DC operator like me, I sort of had running like that with reed switches and lgb point motors. Its very impressive.

This does utilise both reed switches and point motors, I suppose the real difference using DCC is the Bi-directional running at different speeds.

Just a couple of quickies (said the actress to the bishop as she stirred the tea)
Are they plain reed switches or track contacts?
Do you use supplementary switches on the point motors.?
Are you using a Massoth feedback module to coordinate the whole shebang?

Great stuff, I like the way the trains eased to a stop and eased away again. Had me worried at first it the one approaching the junction was going to stop in time!

Excellent, well done that man!
On my road to DCC ...
I have just got my double reverse loop operational and want to put in some station stops and also have the possibility of a bit of 'auto running' when I want to just kick-back, watch and have a bevvy or two or when friends come around and I want to chat and not concentrate on actually 'driving' the trains.
Your thread has really helped me as the track plan with the track contacts shown etc is a real visual explanation that I needed to put the 'theory' into practice.
Have 5 stars Roly

I am so pleased I have seen the light and I'm going with individual R/C.... All too complex for me....

Its ALL too complex for me - haven't mastered R/C even.

Brilliant Roly - love the video - poetry in motion. If you know what you are doing - you do and I don't - its a real winner. Nice piece of work all round:thumbup:

Impressive....
