Now I'm quite the cynic but I gave this a go and it worked for me. Much like an auto bid but this bids to your limit in the last seconds. So my modis operandi is to show no interest in the item and put what I want to bid up to in my sniper account and hey it bids in the last seconds of the auction when I'm not at the computer... cable car for $au87 is but one success... I think it may stop schill bidding to a degree ( don't tell me that dosen't happen!!!)

only problem i can see is having to give your e/bay details to a third party,if they get hacked then liability for your details is is not covered. still its up to the individual. allan.

I have used an Ebay sniper for 6 years...great success, perfectly legal and even encouraged by eBay, and ..I'm touching wood now.....no hack so far!

I think that is the rationale that Ebay would apply, yes the dosh is the bottom line....Ebay exists purely to make money...
