Ash Vale Light Railway - Drivers Eye View

Well, I did manage to get some 'testing' done on the railway today and manage to catch a 'drivers eye view' of the currently operational section of the Ash Vale Light Railway

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK0JprB8E8g

To get it, I put my mini HD camcorder in a Feldbahn wagon, and pushed it around with Lyn (for no particular reason other than she was there at the time!)

Apologies for the slight slantiness, the camcorder is an odd shape and getting it to stay upright and stable proved hard work!

Good to see your layout now up and running Daniel.

I saw your comments about MTS being difficult to use for your triangle. I have such a configuration (double tracked) and it works fine using the LGB 55080 MTS Reversing Loop Module, if you ever get to go to the dark side....

Thanks Gizzy,

Does the reversing loop module work bi-directionally? I was under the impression that it would only allow you to run round a loop one way and ideally I want to be able to use all 3 sides of the triangle in both directions.

I'm not ruling out MTS in future, but what I plan to do is have everything set up for analogue, and if I ever go MTS, I can just turn all the switches to 'ON' and plug the MTS Central Station in place of the analogue controller.

Regards
Daniel

I believe it does work bi-directionally, but I haven't used it as such.

In my analogue days I used the 10151 reversal sets in the reversing chords, and I still tend to run the railway in this configuration....
