Steady chaps its not what you think!

I may be old fashioned but I like to run a caboose (or brake van) on the end of my freight trains. It looks right and also it has a function in that if the last wagon is a caboose then I know nothing has been left behind where I can't see it.
Like most of us I my loco fleet includes representatives of many different railroads and I do like to run a matching caboose. Just like to say thanks to Dabe Hubbarde for thinking of me when he came across a red Rock Island caboose so I now have another matched set.

This caboose has been gently weathered and also I have repainted the handrails from the slightly strange gold colour that come as standard to white which seems more accurate based on photos I found. The original can be sen at http://www.aristocraft.com/database/mid/42120-.jpg . Dave also found me the B&M box car which was in unused condition until again I gave it a little bit of weathering.

Another matching set - this is probably my favourite livery. I can't bring myself to weather these.

It would be nice to see other matching sets.

I have a Silver & yellow Rio Grande Caboose that goes with my Alco PA
Also Santa Fe Red and a blue caboose for my GP38-2 Warbonnet
Just need a silver SP Caboose for my Bloody nose GP38-2

I seem to have got quite a collection of cabooses (or is that cabeese?)
Three Santa Fe - 1 all red, one red with white and on blue. I've never found a photo of a real blue on.
Two Rock Island - a blue one as well as the red one above
Two Boston & Main - 1 brown and one blue
