Another year, so another re-vamp of the CDLR.

Building a garden railway is a bit like painting the Forth bridge isn't it? It never actually gets finished :(
Each year, when (if) the sun comes out and I finally get out there to run some trains, I get the urge to add a bit here, move a bit there.... etc. etc... So here's the latest configuration. Well, when I say latest, it was the one I did yesterday. I've changed it a tiny bit again today! 8|

Overall view showing the new tramway (OK, it's only a loop but it adds a bit interest and I can boast that I have an 'integrated transport system' :D )

The station and snack bar (Atlantic coach without wheels) and a slightly derelict workshop:

And finally a view from the other end:

It really needs a lot of detailing to be done (the street being swept for a start!) but I have this feeling that by this time next year, it will be totally different so why bother? &o
Anyone else have the same problem?

Tom i really like your tram=-
what brand is it?
love the livery and the shape

it reminds me a bit of one that used to be in an LGB catalog long long long ago in a snowy scene at a station

you layout looks quite fun

i think your town needs a fountain !

ive been thinking of doing the very same, R1 and a trolley loop -perhaps even an 'up and over' the mainline with a rather steep grade

nice cheery pics

Tom if someone had warned me id change my mind twice a year and that the biggest head ache is maintaining it i'd still have done it :rolf: Building something like your village is easy you start it all full of energy and in a day you sit back and say that's done what's next...... next day you get on with another project and two days later the wind has blow the rain has fell, the weeds have grown, and you wonder why you bothered....so don't worry it not just you

Cheers Steve. It's an Occre 'Soller' kit - you can see my part finished thread here:

It's a great kit but patience and some skill are required (and a LOT of filler to get the roof smooth!).

I like the idea of a fountain..... *adds item to list of things to do*..... :)

i went to your build link, Tom. very cool. looks like its worth the trouble
now where might i purchase one please?
