Cant go far wrong with this. 51079. But if your serious about DCC, why spend on something that will not be needed later. May be just jump in!

Or look at the secondhand market.

Or you could use the voltage control on that bench unit - but be careful of full voltage!

Perhaps get a Mean Well high-amperage supply for DCC, and a bench supply for testing and setting up??
BUT, you probably need to decide on which DCC system you will eventually get, before buying that big supply..
