Altering sound volume

Good morning all. I recently sold a loco with an XLS sound chip added on ebay and whilst the buyer is happy with the loco he has messaged me asking if it is possible to turn the sound down.The snag is he is using it on analogue not DCC so I wondered on his behalf if this is possible.

If there is not an external volume control fitted, then the volume is controlled by CV200.
'1' very quiet, to '63' loud.. - '20' may be about right.

For completeness, set CV 200 to '255' for an external volume control.

Thanks for the info I will relay that to him but I think he is analogue only so he will have to find someone to do it for him.
