A weekend in the Harz mountains.

I had a bit of spare time this weekend, Wife despatched to Morocco with three friends for a 50th bash!
Rebuild the rotten loco yard but more importantly, get some trains out.
So its been very much a Harz weekend.

First up, beginning of the summer season so the water tank car need to be taken to the top for firefighting.

Over on the adjoining Selketalbahn, the Krupp 2-6-2 is running the service with a typical train.


near the junction, the Harzquerbahn is seen in the distance!

The 2-10-2 starts the service.

Whilst the Mallet waits to run todays `special`.

The Rotkamel was out with a maintenance train.

All keeping the operating staff very busy.

But the visitors had a good time.
