After a day or two of dismal weather the sun put its hat on this evening and Stuart (Marshman) brought over his very nice Accucraft 2 cylinder shay for a good run out. What a nice looking weathered loco. This one has a great sound system and looks 'just right'.
It has the very fine Accucraft profile wheels and they just sail through LGB R5 points where every other make 'bobbles' to some degree. As it is a twin two wheel bogie loco with little tolerance in lateral movement and an instant detector of bad track, it did 'discover' one area of my track that jad been neglected for some time. After a little extra packing all was well and she just did her stuff.
A very enjoyable hour of running ensued as the sun went down with a brew.
Many thanks Stuart for gracing my line with a fine little loco and here a re some shots of her progress

Out of the tunnel and onto the trestle as a deer is scared witless!

Up to Arbour Summit whre there is a new/old station replacement for the 'adobe' construction that used to be the station building. One of Tony's figures has climbed in for free ride

Yes, the old/new Arbour Summit station has had a new roof fitted and will need a bit more in the way of care before winter arrives but I think that it is an improvement on the adobe one (this was bought when I thought that I was going to have a very very desertified area.

Another shot of the new station and....... yes, that under the roof area will soon be painted!

I would love a few of them for use in the 1:20.3 kit. I have quite a number of engineers etc but could do with some down and out dirty ol' hobos to ride in the box cars and gondolas!
Don't forget to post some piccies of the landscaping progress mate

Hi Steve
The loco and cars behind it in the pictures were Stuart's (Marshman) and he brought them over to my layout to give them a good run out.

Hi Steven, they are called Iron Mountain coal cars & are made by Accucraft.
