I've been lurking regularly and posting occasionally on this and the last forum for a while now. So perhaps it's time I shared some photos of my little railway since I've enjoyed looking at everyone else's so much! I had three trains running for a couple of hours this afternoon and grabbed the camera...

Firstly my new DB218 - totally out of place with everything else I own which is British, mostly GWish, and narrow gaugeish, but with rule 8 liberally applied...

...I just like it which is good enough for me!

No 2 Thomas waits at the Station (awaiting name boards)

And is soon joined by the (please use lots of rule 8 here) GWR Railcar

Thomas takes a break in the siding outside the station with his VoR bogey carriages - oh why did I not paint him GW Green!

And finally, please do not walk on the rails...

...ok, that's very clever, don't walk on the sleepers either!

Cheers

Great piccies........very nice railway. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

What an excellent railway, I really like that!

Looking great

About the curve in the first picture, is it R1, R2 .... ? Just wondering how the BR218 will look on my line (R2)..

Nice railway mate, and I like that chocolate banana too....

Thanks for the kind comments chaps!
Deutsche Reichsbahn, the curve in the first picture was once R1, eased open a little to fit the curve of the brick wall (which was very much there first). But the radius is probably closer to R1 than R2. Most of my curves are R1 and it looks fine on there to me...

delightfull, and yes.. it dose look well on your line:thumbup:

Thanks for the pics I like the railcar I built one from a kit in O Guage years ago, your W&l coaches look great and your track is flatter than mine as they don't like my railway as its hilly Les

Lovely photos really like the GWR railcar  were they the ones nick named flying banana

Great piccies and I just love that Railcar

I thrilled that you all like the railcar! Yes they were nicknamed flying bananas! Mine is 'modeled after' the GWR railcars (the later ones with more angled bodies) - there were no narrow gauge versions, but in my mind a small light railway, a tiny part of the Great Western empire, saw the success of the railcars and thought it would be just the thing to run an efficient passenger service on their line, so created something similar. Had that happened then that's what mine would be a model of!! It's scratchbuilt on a couple of USA trains power blocks and has proved to be outrageously reliable.

Very impressive. The AEC mini flying banana is great. I have a couple of power bogies in my spares box awaiting a similar fate, but my scratch building skills are WAY short of yours. Thomas looks good blue. ....could have been 'absorbed' by the GWR from a taken over line?

Actually, that DB loco looks vaguely Hymek-ish. Perhaps a lick of green paint.........
