This week's video features another of Roy Wood's "Talyllyn" locos. It is believed to be an early Steve Acton conversion and has just had a bespoke you-know-what fitted (it has a very short chimney). It is manual control.

You can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezHR...65/cb06c0daed3947cabc43d3e89af77b3e.jpg[/IMG]

That looks superb!

I really hate to criticise, especially when I couldn't get it anywhere near that good, but the thing that I would like to see is the cylinders painted green (and lined?.....Ouch!), brass just isn't 'right' looking.

If not, it still looks excellent. Love it!

Thanks guys - Roy is very proud of this loco. He bought it from Alan at PPS and did the lining job himself. I think I may have mentioned about the cylinder covers Bob;)

Paul - I agree it would be a great addition to the RH range - I would certainly be tempted.

Allan - it seems altogether more chunky than Leader. Maybe that will look better in the metal...........

Here is a photo of the real thing from a similar angle.
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,

Im steve actons son Matt and i can confirm this is loco number 2 out of the works of my dad.
The model is scratch built with only roundhouse cylinders, axles, wheels and steam fittings. Its nice to see someone is still enjoying it!
Here is a photo of my dads latest Edward Thomas, this one is to scale.

Lovely stuff.

I keep looking at them on the Lightlines site, with green, jealous eyes! A 45mm gauge version of TR 3 would make my lifetime!
