A Bit of Bull

Shopping for a grandsons birthday gift at Target (Australian variety chain store ) in my nearby mall, I spotted what appeared to be a nearly 16mm scale range of farm animals of fairly decent manufacture. For some reason a Bull was on offer for just $A1 each !
My current project is to scratch build an I of M open topped stock wagon and the $1 Bull appeared to be the perfect cargo !
I have subsequently purchased another, and I think a Bull is a great item for your stock cars . They can remain on board for the outward journey, and the return, unlike other livestock, which once at the meat works, won’t require a return fare.
A Bull. An attend to business at the destination and return for a well earned rest to the home farm !
Standing roughly 5’ tall at the ear tip and roughly 8’ head to tail it will pass my muster as ‘stand off’ scale.
The regular price for the range is a low $5 a piece and there is a credible ram, a couple of horses, a dairy cow, donkey and an alpaca on offer.
If you allow a bit of flex on your livestock sizes, there may be something for your stock traffic.45524C43-76F7-4FAC-99B7-8A3B775C24F1.jpegD2A83AAA-B332-4C90-9E05-EF36DD71A0DF.jpeg

He is probably the right size anyway. The breeder sires are huge! He has a decent set of mountain oysters to prove his worth! :giggle:
Make the sides extra high like in the picture or he will just jump over when he sees his favorite cow friends.

That looks to be a very well modelled bull.

Old bull, and and a younger one, walking down the path.
'Look' the younger one says, 'the farmer has left the gate to the cow paddock open, let's run down and get us a few cows'.
'No', says the older one, 'lets walk down, and we can have the lot'.

I have created a monster.....
How many bull jokes are there ?
I had meant to call the Thread ‘ A load of bull......’
but I thought I might offend your collective sensitivities,
I shouldn’t have worried !
