Been looking for 6 wheel trucks to perhaps build a mason bogie with and have gotten some very good replies, now interested in finding out how big aristo-crafts are compared to USA trains ones, understand that the USA train ones is bigger, does any one have any knowledge of these 2 brands? thanks Bill

I have to admit that whilst I HAVE seen Aristocraft six-wheel Commonwealth style trucks, as used on their old-style heavyweight passenger cars, I've never seen a similar car in the USA Trains product line-up. However, I've been proven wrong over the years.

The USA Trains NC Hudson loco uses Commonwealth trucks on the tender, but I'd imagine that surrepticiously prising one of them off an unsupervised loco might get you some unwanted attention from the owner and buying one direct from USA Trains, in my recent experience, is like sending postcards to Atlantis.

It's easy to get USA Trains parts in the USA. You call and talk to a person, and they do it. Emailing appears useless as you have apparently found out, and/or their desire to ship internationally. Sorry. Apparently spare parts for the Hudson are pretty easy to come by.

You can email.. Eventually a ?young lady? replies. - Though her knowledge of the product is limited.

There ordering system will not take card details internationally.. You have to ring your order through. - They then tie it up with any emails you have sent to get address details etc.

They don't seem to be able to acknowledge your order.. It just arrives, once you have paid the incoming taxes..
