And as its been raining and I'm waiting for an esu loksound chip for the Phaeton rail motor, I thought I'd give it a repaint. While I had it apart its had a rewire and LED cab lights, fire box lights and head light. Here are some pics

Nooooo

It always did need toning down a bit, but because it was one of the first locos that I bought, I didn't have the heart;

Call me sentimental.....................

.............But it's looking good :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Which manufacturer? The wheel configuration and cab interior show it isn't Aristo/Delton...or is it?

Sorry Ian but it was just tooo wet out and I had to find something to do. As most of the other loco's I have are Black this one had to be as well. I've just finished spraying the tender body so it will be wiring in the chip tomorrow and testing the lights etc. Then I must get some decals made up, and get them applied, add some weathering and a coat of matt varnish and I think she'll be ready for the road:thumbup:

I am just finishing up three sheets of decal designs to get Stan Cedarleaf make them up.
I usually make me own but I need so much white lettering that I have decided to get them done on clear decal film this time rather than with a black background as how I have made them before.
If you would like to get yours done by him we could split the shipping etc.

The Aristo chassis is great improvement - I spent a long time getting mine to negotiate R1 (reverse) curves and points. I painted mine black and it always creates a good impression at shows with the sound. I like the bell in reverse!

No need to apologise Jerry, it's looking better than it did, and you've done what I should have steeled myself to do.

I'll be happy to see it being well used :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Jerry you can often tell how well a loco has been built by the condition of the wiring...along with your over factory standard looking paint work i think il be getting you to finish mine.....:thumbup:
No problem Tony if you want a hand just let me know :bigsmile::bigsmile:

Thanks Jerry - but I should have stripped it down like you did!

Looks much nicer in black Jerry?

Henry Ford would approve....
