Help Needed

Hi Forum members, Late last year I purchased LGB equipment to start a garden railway. I have just got around to testing out it works in my front room with a small circle of track but having problems, any help would be appreciated.
I have LGB Central Station 55006P, 55015P handset and Power Pack 24v DC 5 AMP power Supply- for DCC Central Station.

Problem is power appears to be going to the track, lights on engine working, engine making a noise but unable to move? Tried with three other engines purchased and the same occurs.
Does anyone have any idea what I might be able be doing wrong.

Thanks in advance of any insight/knowledge you are able to give to rectify my problems.

Do you know the address of each engine?

Is the switch inside the cab on position 2?

Just for starters....
 
With the 55015 it is possible to read and update CV’s. Have you the manual? If so read what CV1 is on your enfpgines, that will be the number you need to address when running your locomotives. When reading only have 1 locomotive on the track at any time.
 
Doesn’t the 55006 need AC rather than DC? From memory only, I’ve been Massoth (definitely DC) for years. JonD to confirm or deny as appropriate.

Do the lights/sound respond to your handset (press 9 for lights on/off; press 1 for bell/whistle/horn)

If so, try moving the switch in the cab.

If not, your handset doesn't match the channel number of your loco(s). Do you know the channel number(s) of your loco(s)? Maybe the previous owner added a sticker, or wrote on the box).

What is the "Power Pack 24v DC 5 AMP power Supply"? LGB (product number?) or non-LGB. The 55006 manual certainly suggests AC is needed . . .

Thanks you all for your help/advice, I’m away with work tomorrow so will try all you suggest on return at the end of the week. Thanks again for all who gave advice and I’ll update progress and hopefully will have solved my problem

Indeed he does, I used an LGB 50110 for my Central Station that chucks out AC. But I wonder if the name of his controller is confusing us, 24v DC seams quite a lot for a transformer?
