Regner Heisler in the garden

Hello all, this is my first post, so please be gentle !
I have been interested in all things live steam for a number of years, from Mamod & Wilesco, right through to higher end Stuart Models, plus everything in between. This has now also developed into a fascination for garden railways, especially live steam locomotives & I do have a particular fondness for the Regner EasyLine geared locos. I don’t have a fancy garden railway, but just a double track loop which I lay down on my patio to run trains on through the summer months.
Here’s some action of my Heisler raising steam, safety valve is just starting to blow:

Hello Centrifugal Governor, and welcome to the forum! We are a boisterous bunch, and will give you all the advice you did and didn't ask. Be prepared for our weird sense of humour.

Thanks for sharing your trains, it's nice to have a place to run them even if it's only part of the year. I live your use of two different loops, so that locos that are at ease on curves can show their tricks, while other locos can take it easy.

Gentle enough? :)

Thank you Jasper :)

I purchased a few of the AMS long logging cars, but they run a little tight on the LGB R2 curves, so I need to create a third R3 loop, if my limited patio area will suffice. In the meantime the LGB disconnects seem to run well on the R2 loop.

Being a grumpy sort, an introduction would be nice!!, but welcome anyway :)

Welcome to the Forum! You've got a good combination of sedate and frenetic there! The diesel and tippers reminds me of the model shop window layouts of my youth, in a good way: there's something mesmerising about tail-chasing. And the Regner is a beauty, Pride of The Line no doubt, and rightly so!

Thank you for the friendly welcome Northsider !
I like to just set the diesel going at a fair pace, while I can sit back drinking tea, or something stronger  & focus all my attention on the Heisler live steamer :)

Great, that means you can put the kettle on for us!
Welcome to the forum, whereabouts in the Midlands are you?
If you like live steam, hsve you thought about dropping into see your local 16mm group? (16mm.org.uk).
Thank you Paul… Kettle just boiled ! :giggle:
I’m in Coventry. No, but I really should do. I have made a few enquiries at the garden railway shows, but working full time & with family life taking up the weekend, as yet haven’t found the time to take it any further than that.
