Was it the small plug into the pin? If so a gentle press with pliers may help. If not that possibly extending the wires to the bogies may help.
I bought it second hand, and the wires have been soldered on in a past life. Going to try taking the body off and extending all the wires, but to be honest it scares me taking the bidy off as its easy to damage, already wrecked the hand rails. Not sure of the proper way to remove. Might just chuck it if it proves too difficult.

If you 'chuck it', send it my way.. ;)

Seriously, if needs be, you can send it to me, and I will sort the wiring for you..

Thanks for the offer, I've started to remove the body and will do a bit at a time. Been looking all over for the wire crimp connectors but have failed so far. So I'll try doing a good solder job and longer wires with more flex. Some numpty has done a right botch with the length of the wires.

You will be proud of yourself when you have fixed it.

Not sure what the connection on your loco are like but I had a similar issue with a Piko loco and found that 00 fishplates fixed on to the pins securely, they are easy to solder wire to as well……if it helps?

I managed to obtain another Schleich Arena, for an extension to my existing canopy. Just need to paint them a matching colour now, but its raining so hey-ho. IMG_20220627_112611.jpgIMG_20220627_112634.jpgIMG_20220627_112639.jpgIMG_20220627_113313.jpg

And the associated fencing that came with it. All in all, it's added a lot of interest to an otherwise boring part of the railway. IMG_20220627_120240.jpgIMG_20220627_120249.jpgIMG_20220627_120255.jpgIMG_20220627_120303.jpgIMG_20220627_120307.jpg

The F7 body is one of the classic industrial designs, seldom equalled and never bettered.
