I saw some of the points switch after the train had run through - are they operated automatically?
Naaaa. Just me being proactive so as to avoid a wrong route or derailment while filming. I normally get half way into a video, and disaster!

Very nice, though I assume for visual effect rather than practical (until you took the supports away ;))

Purely for visual effect. I will add a little scene under the bridge, Piko do a rowing boat, so a few ideas. But frankly I thought the shelf before was boring, so boxed it in at the same time.

A bargain second hand purchase, by the other half as a treat F7 A/B. Looking good. There are now four F7s in my fleet. 2 x Amtrak. 1 x Union Pacific. 1 x Santa Fe.

Also 2 x B units, one of which is Amtrak and the other Santa Fe.

Here's a few perspective pictures to give an idea of the layout, look how its established since 2014 at the start of this thread.

Also, I've added some AstroTurf under my bridge to eventually make a farm scene. When I first saw the covered seat I thought ah he has the outdoor bed to sleep in SWMBO gets the house! Great how you have fitted an awful lot into a small space and kept it all looking so tidy. An object lesson to us all.

The locomotive fleet of my railway.
The two switchers and WPYR alco, with a tick alongside, are not in regular use. The switchers are frankly, tatty second hand purchases from ages ago, and the alco, its wires keep breaking off where attached to the bogie. I cannot fathom out how to remove the body properly without damage, to solder them on good. Screenshot_20220521_123106.jpg
