Hello,

What is the Prototype Locomotive of this BACHMANN 0-4-2T HOn30 locomotive ?

Has anyone produced this same locomotive, with or without the human face, in 45 mm Track Gauge No. 1 ?

Has LGB produced a locomotive with this same wheel arrangement in 45 mm Track Gauge No. 1 ?

Has BACHMANN produced a locomotive with this same wheel arrangement in 45 mm Track Gauge No. 1 ?

See Skarloey (his so-called "twin" is "Talyllyn" on the Talyllyn Railway)

All the best

A quick application of Google-Fu provides the answer to the first question:

Skarloey is patterend on Talyllyn, from the railway of the same name....

Of course,
If you find a 45mm 'block, you could 'scratch' one in 7/8ths.

Accucraft are soon to make them available. Only in live steam are anticipated at this stage though.
Below drawing by David Fletcher can serve as a modelers blueprint. Wheelbase: 4'0". Driver diameter: 2'4".
Talyllyn (locomotive) - Wikipedia

So for 1:19, a Bachmann Lil Big Hauler (no connecting rod) or even a Bachmann climax block with added wheel pin bosses and rods would be reasonably close.

Thank you,

This link will give you some information of this and the other original TR Loco’s both built by Fletcher Jennings at Whitehaven. These were the only Locomotives the original TR owned and were still on the line when preserved in the early 50’s as the first of the superb selection of Steam Railways that we now enjoy.

PDF do one in 16 mm. 3D printed, intended for battery power. 32 mm gauge only. TALYLLYN – PDF Models The problem with gauge adjustment for 45 mm on this and other similar locos is down to its wheel/frame/valve gear arrangement. It's not a simple slide the wheels in and out on the axles and a replacement pony truck set. You need to be pretty sure of your market to offer both 32 & 45 mm gauges. Max
