RTM tramways

What I find 'annoying' is that speed variations due to curves or a dirty piece of track are very audible.

But I will certainly disassemble 'him' completely and put in new grease/oil, also the Stainz.

And I thought I'd seen there are only two brushes on the wheels, not all four? I have to investigate that a little more...

How did the rabbits respond to it?

Barney was asleep, Pebbles didn't like it at all... She heard 'strange noises' and then all of a sudden, a large, square brown thing popped out of the buxus! Whaaaa!! As the train was running behind the buxus, she couldn't see what created the noise. She did follow the sound though, her head moved from left to right and back like watching a slo mo tennis game, following the noise of the train.

It is very tempting to put as much track into the available space, but I'm sure I will enjoy the 'art of minimalism' better in the end...

Yesterday I was able to spend 2 hours on the tramway... Little progress, great fun! The 'holes' will be filled with ground so I can put plants in there. It must be a 'garden', not Rotterdam Central...

Barney & Pebbles have a day off, maybe I'll spot them on the job later today....

Today was a special day for me. For the first time ever trains ran on my first ever garden railway. I think they've already put 100 rounds on it... Oh I LOVE it!!!

Here the Deutz is testing the tracks... A little bit up speed to avoid 'drop outs'....

And here the Elias is testing out the tracks... Oh this is so beautiful...

Here's the 'raw design' of the shunting part. Not much space, quite crowded I know, but I think the points will deliver excellent fun for shunting. And maybe an engine shed at the end of the line(s)...
