It was no big deal, I probably paid less than $10 total for everything (the blue wagon was free), and Xavier had sent me a bunch of parts I find more valuable.
Someone needs to rotate that 3 on the front so it's upright.

Oops !...... :wasntme:
There is always something that I don't see before I take photos
Most often is a roof incorrectly fitted :giggle:

When I saw the beautiful van for passenger luggage made by Playmofire,
I did remember that I had similar project that I had abandoned

The health crisis gave me the possibility to continue and make a second try

The doors are coming from Fire Truck
And the cabin from the red loco, of course. A damaged cabin that I tried to repair
I do not plan to paint it.
I noticed that mixte van can have different color to show difference between passengers and luggages

I still have to install red light in the rear of van.

I have often thought there was a need for a luggage van for the steam locos, but I would never have thought of your solution. It is a winner (and good use of the roller shutter from the 3880 fire engine).

The middle seat in front of the old doorway is a nice touch.
What did you use to close the doorway?

I missed that. A good idea and, as -bbbb says, a nice touch.

Thank you Gordon, I like yours a lot

Thank you All

The middle seat in front of the old doorway is a nice touch.
What did you use to close the doorway?

I have old toy garage for cars which has a kind of road
( where I take some plastic parts when needed )
and it has the kind of sidewalk below.

Its dimensions were exactly the same than the doorway
and I thought it could be nicer than a simple plate

I had a broken roof to be repaired
so I have both repaired and extended it for the project :

If my grandchildren were more interested in trains, Playmobil would be the product of choice. I think many parents are missing the enormous play value in Playmobil.

I must confess, not usually that enthusiastic about Playmobil, but superb photographs full of vibrant colour, very Summery.

A great set of photos and that baggage car really is smart and a great piece of work. I must look at how you did it again.

Again, thank you All.
The aim is to have fun, of course
It is better if I can give a second life to damaged items.

I had a damaged roof

I still had the old station below ( I took the red roof to make the floor of my red & blue caboose )
Projet Santa Cruz Caboose 06.jpg

I had the feeling that I could combine with blue passenger car without extend the frame
Fourgon mixte garage.JPG

I have taken the car on the left

I don't like to paint. But I had no other choice in this case
All blue passenger cars needed to be painted anyway ( because blue color has been damaged by sun )

Fourgon mixte DNCR intérieur.jpg

I took damaged lugage rack and I did cut it in the middle.
I replaced missings parts in using matches.
Matches don't like to be painted in my case : paint accentuates defaults instead of hide them
But its is OK because we see lugage racks when we remove the roof; which is rare generally

I have repaired another lugage rack for the red IE lugage van and it is better to use plastic,
although it is not easy to cut...
