If you are in the area, this is a goodly way to pass some time on Sunday 15th. Always lots going on and free entry (donations are always welcome).

Should note that as an "open day", this IS open to anyone, including Joe and Josephine Public - NOT just to GSS members!
It's a good venue with plenty of parking, we usually get a pretty good turnout for these events, so as Mike says, come along if you can.....

Living on the edge of nowhere here on the Norfolk coast means I'm somewhat isolated from G scale civilisation. As I have the day off I thought I might make an appearance to see what I'm missing. I've still got a shedload of surplus items left over from the Bressingham show plus track etc. The sales list should still be in the Private Sales section so if anyone wants me to bung something in the car so they can check it out, please drop me a PM. Be warned, it looks like SWMBO will accompany me.

Just like rural Suffolk as well.... Land of the 40mph Drivers...... you know them, the ones that just do 40mph EVERYWHERE, whether they're in a 30 limit or a 60...... I don't think their cars have accelerators, they have fixed-speed on/off switches.....

...But back on topic - looking like a nice weekend, so do come along on Sunday of you can, there should be some good things to see and maybe even play with!
I will be running my Massoth-controlled portable layout about 20 feet in length, with the help of Chris Chick who has built a great little fiddle-yard traverser extension for it, with a varied mix of German and Swiss stock (Rule Eight applies, even at shows!). Might also bring my Live Steam Saxon Wonky to have a bash round the LS running track that will be in the middle of the hall.

Thanks Giz, maybe you can do a stint on the layout while I give the Wonky a steam-up! ;)
I'm assuming you're not bringing Hardyard this time then?

This must be one of the very few railway related events on a Sunday! Anyone know why one day shows are almost always on a Saturday?

I must admit to usually attending 16mm events, and they are on Saturdays. Most of the general model railway shows seem to be as well

For those who have a penchant for live steam....

Amongst all of the other interesting stands and items on show, we will have a live steam circuit at the show (like on other years) and there will be a wide selection of locos operating.
I am taking two 2 cyl shays, one 3 cyl shay, a climax, a C19 2-8-0 and my newly RC-ed Regner Lumberjack plus various pieces of rolling stock.

There will also be a good selection of Accucraft, Roundhouse and other Regner locos run by Stuart (Marshman) and Bob (including a demonstration of Bob's slo-mo equipped locos on an incline).

As already posted by Jon, he may be running his live steamer as well.
