Here is my latest PM haul:
I only paid $47 for everything in all 3 pictures, including the shipping from Canada. ($30 for the lot, $15 for shipping, $2 for tax) I was the only bidder.

Notice the 4052 smoke fins (elephant ears) and tipper car roof, I never expected to find a pair of those ears:

I'm getting the missing tanker car bits from PM UK with the help of James and will try to repair the broken railing with 'thermo plastic/epoxy putty':

The freight station is missing only the "kein zutritt' sign over the office door, and the stickers for the ticket windows:

If anyone has good printable scans of the ticket window stickers please let me know!
EDIT: nevermind, I got some.

What a bargain! The "elephant ears" could have cost you more than that! I may have a spare top platform for the tanker, but i may be grey rather than black; if I have, it's our if you want it.

That is kind of you! I have a plan, PM sent.

In the first picture, does anyone know what those two black bits in the bottom left corner are?

I think the left hand one is to hold the "gates" of a palette cage together and the other might be the holster for a gun off a policeman, although it looks too big but is the right shape.

It's much larger. Also the other is not the latch.

EDIT:
found it, it's part of a TV camera:

Lucky find. Why don't I have that sort of luck? I've a double tipper wagon that needs a roof

That's a real bargain. I've seen those goods sheds alone go for over €100.

I was missing that roof as well. It might be possible to make a duplicate. I've only used epoxy putty for duplicates but the texture quality is not the same with my level of inexperience. I've seen those roofs come up for auction a few times(maybe 3 times in the last year or 2), but always in misc. lots of train parts. They never seem to be in the description, but you might see them in the pictures. Look closely at the pictures of misc. lots, that's how I found a 4034 roof for a few dollars. I remember one lot for about $14 which had that tipper roof, some luggage racks and poles, and a few other non-train bits. I think it was not listed as train parts but just as generic playmobil parts.

Someone took a picture of their ticket window stickers for me and I was able to clean up the images to make this printable sheet:

Here's the result:

Hello Gordon,
Would you know why this top platform is grey color instead of black ?
Because of sun light ?

No, it comes from the Vulcan DS tanker.

I found another deal.

I paid about $8 for all of this at a local thrift store:

The motorblock shell has two broken tabs, and the wire connector is a bit mangled:

I think I'm going to try to make a new wire connection and might try to form some new tabs.

The battery contacts were oxidized, so I made a video showing how I got it running again:

Indeed, a kind of rescue operation
Be patient you will find missing parts

A rescue mission indeed. If nobody else bought it at this store, it would have been recycled. This store is where things go which thriftstores can not sell normally because of the condition( i.e. missing pieces, damage, etc., or that it's too much trouble to sort it; Often things there are dirty or mixed with broken glass, but sometimes I find things new in the package). I should have bought the G-scale PIKO starter set with brass track in the box I found the first time I went there, but I didn't want to pay the $20 or so it would have cost. I regret that decision now. I did see that someone else bought it a few minutes after I passed it up, so it at least didn't get recycled.

It seems I've sourced all of the missing parts for the 4010.
