So I got bored with the telly and went out to the garage.
Since I had 6 of the ICE sets I thought I'd have a bash at a couple to give my grandkids something with a bit extra play value.

After a bit of hacking and sanding and glueing...

I ended up with this.

When I laid out the other units I'm going to run it with... I thought bloody hell it's huge!

Glad I started with playmobil. It's easy to get hold of and modify.

Congratulations
It is great work
May I suggest another way which it is to cut following green arrow below.
You may save time for next wagons...

Actually I did think of that but my concern was making sure that the glass still fitted.
I was concerned that inaccurate cutting (which is what I did!) would damage the area and the glass would not clip back on.
So though I have some work to finish off with a bit of filler for a nice surface, I know that the opening for the glass is still the correct shape.

I have a plan for the 2 spare cabs.... but it's a secret for now.. because it might not work! :D

That reminded me of this video:
There was something similar passing on the right, and some small pods passed on the left shortly after.

Thank you Brian,
This videos is from French PlaymoFriend
We spent a long time talking how to create the same wagon as Fireman did
( his wagons are not all made the same way and it was interesting to compare each approach before choosing mine )

A German Guy did succeed in making a little train with the 2 spare cabs
I would have liked to make a loco, similar to the red one
I'm sure Fireman has a brilliant idea and I've been looking forward to see it
I understand his fears about the glass and he made nice work.
This wagon is giving another look to the train
