Hi, first post so I've missed anything, sorry.

I've got a LGB 92079 from an LGB starter set. Installing the lgb 55021 decoder is easy as its a 4 pin gearbox but the problem is where to mount the decoder. Most of the boiler is filled with the weight and unlike the Stainz in this guide http://www.waltonsofaltrincham.co.uk/guide-lgb-stainz.php the weight doesn't have a convenient cutout.

Has anyone installed a decoder into one of these and where did you stick the decoder?

TIA

Nigel

Never done one but it does look tight. Just a suggestion in the cab on the roof. And dont complicate it by adding sound:D

I'd suggest you trim down the weight, wrap in isulating tape and stick the decoder to this using a hot glue gun, worked for me!

Thanks for the replies. After spending most of the day studying it, I found room in thespace between the roof and the cab top. Just needed to drill one hole to feed to wires through and job done.
