I'm fairly certain that Bigjack bought one of his ESU chipped locos to run on my analogue line and it worked???

Need some help here lads, am ebaying my Piko BR80 fitted with an ESU sound decoder by Jeremy.
A prospective buyer has asked if the sound will be there if run on analogue.

Does anyone know the answer?
