I see you have managed to get a view of the new EU standard plug. This is to ensure electricians are kept in work for the next 50 years. ALL new appliances must be fitted with one by May 2018.:mad:

Is this a late April 1st one or what?
Never mind - once EU law is enshrined in English law it will all be repealed after Bodgit.
Come back16amp - all is forgiven!

No Mick, just one of several 'good ideas' people have had to stop the cleaner plugging into the nice clean protected supply for 'essential equipment'..

Often used in data-centres (also some medical establishments)... Normally with a 4-way trailing socket nearby, silly plug one end, (standard 13Amp outlets) so the kettle / fan-heater / chargers can be used!
:rofl::rofl::rofl::rolleyes:

There are also versions with the live and neutral pins rotated 45 degrees, and a version with 'locking pins' on the earth-pin.. You need a screwdriver to lock/release that one!! :eek:

Another milestone reached. My Pic of the Day album in Media has now reached 12,000 views. As of this post there are 696 images in the album. As always I try to post as varied a selection as I can, using digital, 35mm colour negative and transparency photos that I have taken over the past 47 years. The images comprise models of various scales as well as 12" to the foot, covering Continental, US and British outline, so there should be something of interest for everyone. Again thanks for viewing and a special thanks to those of you who have 'liked' them.

Good Day to you All

It's been a while since I last promoted my Media Album, David's Pic of the Day. Today (3.7.2019), I made my 1,100th post and I see that the viewing counter has almost reached 22,500. I make no apologies for pinging this thread again as there are new members joining all the time and some may not be aware of it, or its contents. As always, I believe that with such a diverse collection of images, there must be something of interest in it for every one.

Morning All

Another plug. Today I made the 1,200th post into the album. I keep saying that I am going to run out of photos to post soon, to date I have managed to scrape together new ones but it's a struggle. The opportunities for taking new photos are diminishing for a variety of reasons.
