Hi All

I'm afraid this is a blatant plug for my Media Album, David's Pic of the Day, on the occasion of it having just passed the 5,000 views mark. There are currently 467 images in the album. I always try to vary the image each day, mixing digital with old 35mm negatives and transparencies, colour with the odd black and white, model and full size trains (and the odd quirky non train item). In order to try and maintain interest I attempt to never use the same image twice, although I appear to have slipped up a couple of times. I hope there is something of interest for everyone, it's a real challenge for me to keep coming up with images, I need to get to a few shows/open days to get some new ones.

Why should it be a blatant plug? I always enjoy your excellent images of the day.

I admire your tenacity for completing such a relentless task for the rest of us to enjoy and on a daily basis. It never occurred to me it was an individual task and simply assumed it was an automated system.

A big well done should be the order of the day for the Image Of the Day!

Agreed. I assumed it was done by some system. Thanks David

I've always wondered where they came from! And I'd like to add a 'cudos', but then I have to leave a message as well and I don't feel like doing that with each 'like' I would give... Maybe something to fix in the system so I can give cudos as much as I like??

And I CERTAINLY do enjoy the piccies, althoug on my iPhone they're not so up front as on the pc screen. Yes I use this forum on the iPhone much more than on my pc.

Thank you all for your kind words, You sometimes never know if your efforts are appreciated. It can sometimes be quite hard work finding an appropriate picture and avoid repetition. All the photographs are my own and I am fast running out of un-used pics.

It's an achievement David, and it makes up for those of us who are pretty useless with a camera :smoke::smoke:

I've just noticed that my other photograph album on Media, The Claptowte Railway - Freight Stock, has just passed the 3,000 views mark, not bad as there are currently only 56 photos in that album.

The album, subject of the original topic, David's Pic of the Day, is now not far short of 6,000 views.

Once again, thank you one and all.
