I note that Roundhouse have released a new slip eccentric locomotive to the basic range.
It is a 0-4-2 locomotive with tender. It comes with manual control as standard but, radio control and other enhancements are available.
I have ordered one with radio control fitted and painted in Deep Brunswick Green.image.jpegCopyright Roundhouse Engineering.

Bad for you having all this time off Casey :devil::devil: but if you can hit the button to place the order, you must be feeling a bit better.

It is a rather nice looking loco, certainly has a different look.

It does give me time to catch up on my reading. It also means I have three Roundhouse locomotives on order which will be picked as they become available from Doncaster. Lots to look forward too.image.jpegCopyright Roundhouse Engineering.

To me, it almost looks 'mamod-esque'.. Though in an upmarket version. :)

<pedant>
Should the Thread title not read "Roundhouse.." :think:
<pedant off>

Nice colour! :):nod::nod:

It should and did when I typed it out. I've corrected it now. Thanks Phil.

I've seen something similar in 1:1 land, but can't think where - senior moment :confused:

Perhaps the cab reminds me of the Llanberis Lake locos

I was going to order the Roundhouse Jennie but I decided to order the new Accucraft Sabrina saddle tank due out about June next year.

I had a trip to Doncaster today to pick up my “Jennie” from the good people at Roundhouse Engineering.
I had specified a number of extras including pressure gauge and radio control.

Here she is in the morning sunshine. Unfortunately running in cannot take place at the CFR until I reinstate the missing track. However she might get an outing at the Abberton Valley Railway next week.

My “Jennie” class locomotive Himalayan Bird has been on the rolling road for the last couple of days.

Here she is with a full head of steam, 30lbs of pressure going nowhere fast.

It's an attractive looking loco - but that tender does need a little something. The coal rails are a little bit too simplistic, but I'm sure Casey can work a bit of detailing magic ;););)

My Jennie has now received a couple of new lamps and now looks far more like a colonial locomotive:-

Gosh!
They are enormous! :)

Do they have (to be said in a Welsh accent..) "The power of a million candles!"? :giggle::giggle:
