Agreed mate. They can be picked up for less than a fiver, and the variable height adjustment on the legs allows you get them into all sorts of awkward places.
Yes, that's the one. I just get a feeling of a real narrow gauge line when I look at that photo.
Some gratuitous 'old time' shots for the sake of it. No tripod, taken laying on the ground. Colour removed in Photoshop, then a little put back in for sepia effect. Tight cropping to remove any out of scale background.

OK, the prototype is a Heisler, and my model is a Climax (I don't own a Heisler, sadly)... but, you get the picture.
