Three quarter view of E,P,B, "A" unit at 2019 Teynam show, this is based roughly on unit 5176, which was the last 4 E,P,B to run on the mainline, I believe, 1995. Construction has been far more difficult than the straight sided hastings sets I have built, I had to build a jig to hold the sides during construction, due to the (overall) 3mm radius on the body sides, working from the chassis up, welding inside at roughly 15mm intervals. All mild steel construction throughout, buffers are m4 screws, with washers welded to the heads, then filed oval, Although open plan on the full size units, ive added bulkheads inside with through access to strengthen the body. Chassis is 6mm square iron, welded to a 2mm mild steel floor, motor mounting plate is height adjustable, thus have been experimenting with ride height etc, still a long way to go!

Who is that fine gentleman then?
